Paras is a Bug/Grass Pokemon introduced in the first generation.
Paras is one of only two Pokemon that will completely lose its secondary type upon evolution, the other being Gloom. Both Paras and Gloom may also evolve into two different Pokemon each, with only one of those evolutions keeping both of its types.
Paras may be virtually any color, most often being earthy colors such as dull orange. The most distinguishing feature of a Paras is the two mushrooms which grow from the middle segment on its back. The tochukaso are red with yellow spots and white stalk. These are planted on the Paras at birth and cannot be removed safely. Roll 1d4+7 inches for random height and 1d6+9 for random weight. The tochukaso contribute 3 inches to the height of the Paras.
Always come in pairs. Thrive in warm, wet environments. Feed on the life energy of the host - controls motion only when entirely necessary.
Moreover, Paras is a very small insect Pokemon with six limbs, the front two of which are much larger and have strong pincers. Its body is segmented into three, with large eyes and mouth. Generally nocturnal; avoids sunlight. Sleeps during the hottest part of the day, for about 10 hours a day. Digs to roots of large plants and drinks the sap for nourishment.
